Kongsberg Maritime CM Sp.z o.o. - Regional Purchasing Office in Cracow is looking for an experienced and talented person responsible for managing purchasing processes within selected direct categories.

 

Key accountabilities:

• Lead sourcing for machined castings in the external supply chain including all new sourcing, supplier contracts, supplier relationship management, supplier negotiations and Make/Buy outsourcing
• Work with the Global Category manager to establish, develop and implement Marine Sector global sourcing and supplier strategies that include all product and business requirements
• Contributing to improvement and sharing best practice across supply chain and purchasing teams.
• Providing recommendations on sourcing decisions.
• Execution and implementation of a supply chain that delivers high HS&E, quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness performance
• Be the interface into Product Management, ensuring purchasing and supplier engagement on R&T, NPI and all re-design requirements
• Lead on cost reduction with the supply chain driving year-on-year sustainable cost savings
• Lead processes connected with procurement, ensuring compliance across the organization
• Ensuring that all purchase documents are issued and maintained as appropriate, including the required customer and governmental regulations.

 Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Higher Education degree
• Negotiation skills and focus on delivering
• Experience and know-how of foundry and machining industry
• Possess understanding of the cost drivers and total cost of acquisition impact regarding direct purchasing processes
• Proven track record of sourcing (including LCC sourcing)
• At least 2 years of experience in direct purchasing/supply chain management in international environment
• Ability to work in a team and to communicate globally
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
