POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Sales Manager reports to Vice President Sales for Uncrewed Platforms, with associated responsibilities to Vice President Sales for Americas.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales and promotion of KD’s products, solutions and services, with emphasis on Uncrewed Platform products and systems including but not limited to:
    • HUGIN family of AUVs
    • KD USV Systems
  • Specific market and/or regional responsibility:
    • Defense segment in the Americas
  • Active engagement with personnel and leadership at applicable commands and offices within regional defense departments
  • Participate in and lead defense related sales proposals in response to formal tenders
  • Representing Uncrewed Platforms products and services at industry events and advocacy forums
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Kongsberg companies as appropriate for defense related sales activities in the region

Responsible for the following activities in support of the Uncrewed Platforms sales team:

  • Assist with order income projection, reporting and analysis
  • Assist with sales and marketing strategy, plans and implementation
  • Development and execution of capture efforts to secure high value defense contracts
  • Support sales organization and market representatives in region of responsibility
  • Collaborate and participate in KD’s global sales organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US citizen who either already has a security clearance or is eligible to be cleared for security clearance.  
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a defense sales, naval operations, or government procurement role, or some combination of the three.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge as follows:
    • Existing customer base
    • Key potential customers and stakeholders
    • KD UP products and services, plus working knowledge of other KD products
    • Application of KD technology
    • Clear understanding of competitive advantages
    • Knowledge of competing marine robotics companies and products
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies etc.
  • The incumbent is also required to complete any other tasks associated with Kongsberg Discovery activities as deemed appropriate. 

Work Location: Preferred location would be near Lynnwood, WA or Washington D.C.

Note: While our preferred locations are near Lynnwood, WA or Washington D.C., we are open to considering alternate remote locations in the United States for the right candidate.

 

Pay Range: $150,000 - $170,000 annually USD (DOE)
