Statkraft have an ambition to utilize large amounts of data in order to streamline and automate systems and processes and seeks a candidate with strong competence and experience within big data management. This is an exiting position that provides valuable experience of the complex information value chain from a sensor in the power plant to how to digitalize the work processes and improve decision making.

 

The position is a part of the central staff unit Process Control, responsible for governance and support within process control, and reports to the head of Architecture, Network and Communication.

 

Specialist Data Management

Your role, as a part of Statkraft competence hub within control systems, will be to take part in a strong professional team with following main tasks:

 

• Develop, configure and improve secure data collections systems and facilitate best practise
• Support and implement master data systems – (SCADA, power plant systems, etc.)
• Ensure right data quality and perform fault analysis in the data value chain
• Propose and implement improvement measures related to data sources and data collection
• Contribute to a robust and secure data collection architecture
• Work closely with team responsible for advanced analytics

 

Your profile:

 

• M.Sc within one of the areas; electric power engineering / cybernetics / automation / mathematics, other education combined with right experience can also be considered
• Good knowledge of the power production process will be an advantage 
• In-depth knowledge of IT interfaces, SQL, protocols (OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, etc.)
• Good knowledge and interest in programming / scripting will be an advantage
• Drive for improvements, curious about new technology and solutions within data management
• Works independently and in teams
• God communication skills, with ability to build network both internal and external
• Able to communicate fluently in Norwegian and English
• You are flexible in terms of tasks and mobility as the role requires providing local support in country and/or site for shorter or longer periods as agreed.

  

Necessary background check according to Norwegian and Swedish regulatory requirements is needed for this position.
