Solution Owner - Heavy Offshore and Specialized segment


Kongsberg Maritime (KM) is currently establishing a new and exciting role. As the Solution Owner, you will play a crucial part throughout the lifecycle of KM solutions developed specifically for this segment. The role in this segment encompasses various ship types, including Shuttle Tankers, Cable Layers, Wind Turbine Installation Vessels, and Foundation Installation Vessels. We define the solution as the sum of the technology, products and system blocks we integrate, providing greater customer benefit than the sum of the individual parts.

As Solution Owner you will pull on cross-disciplinary teams in KM and work in close cooperation with the concepts and advisory team, product management teams, and the sales teams, ensuring we address the optimum KM Solutions to the market.
You will report to directly to VP Solution Management within the Solutions business unit, Integration & Energy.



  • Capture growth potential in the Heavy Offshore and Specialized market, addressing upgrades and retrofit as well as new build opportunities
  • Work on specific or generic customer cases to address customer benefits. Provide documentation and analytics to demonstrate the added benefit of the KM solution
  • Stakeholder management across KM divisions and functions. Create alignment and common understanding around priorities, goals, and roadmaps/schedules in line with growth ambitions
  • Provide input and guidance to optimize our investment portfolio plans to meet the current and future market demands. Keep track of order-intake uptake and trends in the Heavy Offshore and Specialized market
  • Participate in bid evaluations and provide guidance to the sales teams and bid teams
  • Participate in customer events together with the sales teams to present the KM solutions
  • Administer segment specific domain knowledge
  • Take part in the continuous development of segment strategies where you will work together with key stakeholders in sales and management


Qualifications and experience

  • Segment specific experience: Deep domain knowledge about the segment, i.e. knowhow related to operations, customers, partners and competitors is a key requirement for this role
  • Basic experience and knowhow from some of the following areas are expected: Vessel operations, vessel management, sales, tender engineering, business development, product/system management


This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
