We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test with a genuine passion for software craftmanship. You will find your permanent role within our growing inhouse software development team developing state of the art systems for Remote Operation Centre’s within Kongsberg Maritime, Remote Operation Solutions team in Turku, Finland. As part of the team you will participate in all software development phases, yet your focus will be on developing the test automation of the software product.

 

Key Accountabilities

• Develop the automated testing solution together with the whole software team
• Find ways to test new features being developed and expand test coverage for both backend and frontend services
• Design, implement and test solutions in an agile manner
• Enhance the software development process and practices together with the team
• Together with the devops team make sure the CI/CD pipeline works

Key Experiences and Qualifications

• Relevant M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering, technology or other suitable area, or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience
• Good experience of planning and implementing test pipelines
• Robot Framework
• Knowledge of modern test automation – tools and best practices
• Attention to detail
• Strong technical expertise in software engineering
• Experience in developing in Linux environments
• Good peer communication skills in English

Desired additional skills

• Python and basic C++ experience
• Experience in devops practices
• Azure DevOps knowledge
• Docker knowledge
