An exciting opportunity has arisen as Software developer within the Synthetic Aperture Processing team. We are looking for two developers to strengthen the team further. One with experience from developing software with a focus on applied mathematics and signal processing, and preferably utilizing a GPU, and the other with focus on developing a good user experience. Both will be responsible for partaking in the development of our new sonars for the future. You are a passionate software developer that puts pride in your work and has a focus on quality in what you deliver. 

KONGSBERG’s Synthetic Aperture Sonars enable high-resolution images of the sea floor. The sonars play a key role on the HUGIN and MUNIN family of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) and produce data used for seafloor inspection, environmental monitoring (coral reef), bathymetric surveys or military applications like mine hunting (search/avoidance) or rapid assessment of large areas.  
 
Working within our team dedicated to Synthetic Aperture Sonar development, we are looking for the following qualities: 

Key accountabilities 

• Software development in C++ and Python for real-time sonar systems
• Signal processing for large amounts of data collected by Synthetic Aperture Sonars
• Software development for multi parallel systems
• Responsibility for documentation of developed solutions
• Responsibility for developers testing of developed solutions
• Responsibility for creating / maintaining unit tests covering the code developed
• Work according to agile methodology principles
