The Shore-side Shop Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the shop(s) located in Dunkerque (and Calais). They will ensure that the highest standards of service are delivered, so that customer satisfaction targets are achieved, and will be accountable for reaching all financial targets set for the operation. They will be responsible for creating the staffing plan to maximise sales and will liaise with internal stakeholders to develop the operation and the service available to customers. Compliance with customs regulations and the correct deliver of reports to the authorities will also be a key responsibility.

Key Accountabilities:

• Achievement of revenue and gross margin targets to meet annual budget.
• To make sure there is accurate stock taking each month and maintain all documentation required by the customs authorities.
• Liaising with HR and the Onboard Commercial Director to ensure the correct staffing level to meet customer needs, while managing costs to meet the staffing budget.
• Work with the Retail Category Management Team on improving assortment and promotion performance, providing feedback and insights on customer behaviour and trends.
• Delivery of marketing and event calendar to drive engagement and conversion, providing feedback for brand owners on event performance.
• Liaise with Marine Facilities Manager and Port of Dunkerque to ensure the safe operation of the shop and the quick resolution to any building or infrastructure issues.

Role Requirements:

• A high level of spoken and written English and French
• A high level of computer literacy and experience with MS Excel and other office applications.
• Experience in retail management (preferably in the wine store or supermarket sectors)
• A proven track record of delivering against budget.
