As a Service & Support Engineer, you will work with our Subsea & Special Purpose products, which include advanced deck machinery solutions for offshore and naval vessels. The products are hydraulically (high pressure) or electrically driven. Our Control System is inhouse made, based on Siemens S7 PLC and Qt-based Graphical User Interface (GUI).


Responsibilities

  • Travel to various locations worldwide to perform service jobs, commissionings and upgrades on our sailing fleet.
  • Work both as a field engineer out in the field and in the office providing technical support, depending on the needs of our customers and projects.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, provide solutions, and remote support to technical issues.
  • Handle technical support requests and perform service work related to control system.
  • Support our Customers, Field Service Engineers and Spare Parts Coordinators with technical information and documentation.
  • Contribute to improvements of the technical support processes.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred automation or electrical engineering or similar). Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Experience in CAD, PLM and ERP systems is considered as an advantage.
  • Previous hands-on experience is considered as an advantage.
  • Previous experience in customer support role is considered as an advantage.
