As a Field Service Engineer – Automation  & Controls Systems, you are the first in line when it comes to representing customer service from KONGSBERG to our worldwide customers. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Engineers to join our Global Customer Supports’ Service Delivery team in Hamburg, Germany.

Working as a Field Service Engineer you will carry out installation, and commissioning activities of KONGSBERG’s Automation and Control Systems on our customers’ vessels and at major shipyards around the world. You will perform services and maintenance on sailing ships with our equipment, as well as in-house technical support to our customers. If you have technical qualifications in electro, automation, or electronics then you have the competence we seek. Kongsberg Maritime Germany, is a subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime with an office with 30 employees based in Hamburg, Germany providing Sales, Aftermarket Sales and Customer Support to our customers.

 

Key accountabilities

• Maintenance, repair and troubleshooting for electrical systems, e.g. Kongsberg Automation, Navigation, Dynamic Positioning systems
• Technical on-call service and assistance local and worldwide
• Technical support by phone and email from the office in Hamburg
• Documentation and reporting

 

Qualifications and experience

• A degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Installation Technology / MAROF
• Competence with automation / controls systems
• General good software / computer skills
• Good written and oral skills in German and English
• Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities
• Knowledge of and experience with Kongsberg Maritime products is an advantage
