As a Service Consultant – Automation, you will primarly work with Offshore Automation software and hardware in delivery, after sales and upgrade situations on both current and earlier versions of KM Integrated Control Systems (E&P Segments mainly). The position involves extensive traveling (100 + days a year), both planned and on call on commissioning and service-jobs.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

• Technical education (bachelor’s degree or technical diploma) is required. Backgrounds in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Technician programs are highly desirable, but not mandatory.
• Strong customer orientation and service mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to expand technical knowledge across departments.
• Comfortable with frequent and extended travel.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of control systems (e.g., PID controllers, filters).
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and produce technical documentation.
• Skilled in troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems.
• Fluent in English (our official work language).
• Self-driven and committed to long-term technical growth.

 

Tasks

 

• Provide high-quality support to customers via phone, email, and on-site (onshore and offshore).
• Commission and service Offshore Automation systems and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and provide technical assistance.
• Participate in FATs, dry-docking, and sea trials.
• Report equipment issues and suggest improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update CRM systems.
• Support internal teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

 

Authority

 

• Prioritize and execute tasks during service trips.
• Report safety/security incidents offshore.
• Own assigned service cases and suggest product improvements.
• Proactively recommend upgrades and solutions to customers.
