About the Role

As Senior Technical Manager – Process, you will be the key process discipline expert across innovation initiatives, technical development and capital projects (newbuilds, conversions and major modifications).

You will lead the process discipline throughout the full project lifecycle — from early technical sales and tender development through detail design and execution. You will support fleet operations with process engineering expertise, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, emissions management and process safety.

The role is based in Oslo and reports to the Vice President, Technology & Innovation within Project Execution, with operational collaboration with Maintenance & Performance Optimization.

Qualifications

  • Higher technical education in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience from LNG industry, petrochemical, marine/offshore EPC, FPSO or ship owning company.
  • Experience with shipbuilding design and/or asset operation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics and gas processing systems.
  • Fluency and proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the process discipline in the execution of a FSRU/Clean Energy project — covering newbuilds, conversions, modifications and technical development.
  • Act as technical authority for Process Safety and implement Process Safety Management systems aligned with relevant industry standards.
  • Carry out drawing and documentation approvals towards shipyards, partners and vendors; contribute to contract negotiations and vendor selection.
  • Coordinate with shipyards, technology partners and EPC/EPCIC contractors to develop and qualify technical solutions for FSRUs and Clean Energy projects
  • Participate in and facilitate risk/safety/environmental impact studies including HAZID, HAZOP and QRA activities.
  • Optimize fleet performance in operation — including process optimization, process safety reviews, energy efficiency, emissions and troubleshooting complex process systems.
  • Serve as Technical Sales Manager in business development, owning technical content and cost estimates for tenders/bids.
  • Innovation work and developing competitive state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Capture and apply operational experience and best practice into new orders, conversions and ongoing project executions.
