The Digital Platform department in Bangalore is primarily responsible for developing KDI’s digital platform Kognifai, It is an open and collaborative digital ecosystem that improves integration between the world of information technology and operational technology to accelerate business transformation in established industries.

The Kognifai Storage team is responsible for development of our Timeseries Storage solution called Galore. Galore is the Kognifai time series and streaming database that is available as both an on-premise installable database and a Kognifai cloud service. The database is highly scalable and can be installed on everything from a small edge PC to a large cluster, supporting the smallest edge analytic scenarios as well as global data collection and analytic scenarios.

 As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will:

• Understand product requirements and design features, to write, design, and execute automated tests.
• Write test scripts to verify complex data structures and APIs deployed in distributed system.
• Perform full SQA cycle for software releases in a fast-pace environment, this includes - but is not limited to gathering specs, developing test plans, running tests as needed, and analyzing test results.
• determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
• Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
• Perform and participate in all aspects of verification including requirements gathering, feature and functional testing, regression, load and performance testing.
• Work with the Lead and peers to define process and strategy and analyze defect patterns & Prioritizes bugs.

To excel in this position, you must have:

• An Engineering Degree: BE/ B Tech or MCA/M-Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics and Communications.
• An overall experience of 6 – 8 years.
• Expertise with API Automation using any BDD Framework.
• Experience with UI Automation testing using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Protractor etc.
• Experience in Manual Testing (Ad-hoc, Functional, UI, System, Regression Testing, Security, etc.).
• Azure DevOps experience is a must
• Test execution with Microsoft Test Manager would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of testing lifecycle, concepts, practices, bug lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent sense of ownership towards deliverables.

Additionally, some good to have skills are:

• Azure DevOps CI/CD and PowerShell scripting experience is preferred.
• Built UI Automation Framework from scratch using JAVA/C#/Python etc.
• Experience with testing Containerized applications.
