In this role, you will work with C# to develop and enhance software solutions used in ship bridge training and simulation. You will collaborate with software architects, UI/UX designers, 3d software developers, designers, hydrodynamics and mechanics experts, and maritime domain experts to build high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software applications. What you will be doing
We typically differentiate the work tasks between a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer based on the complexity and needed in-depth knowledge to solve the tasks. For both roles it includes:
- Develop and maintain software solutions for ship bridge systems using C#, produce a modular and maintainable code
- Implement new features, improve performance, and refactor existing code
- Work with maritime experts to ensure realistic software functionality
- Ensure code quality by writing unit tests, performing code reviews, and following best practices
- Work in agile teams, collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior developers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence

We think you should have
For the Senior Software Engineer role, you have more than 5 years of experience in C# software development. We are looking for individuals who have a strong foundation in object-oriented programming and design patterns, along with extensive experience in modern UI development. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools are crucial, as is a deep understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and a background in maritime technology, ship bridge systems, or industrial applications is highly desirable. Experience with Azure, microservices, and REST APIs will be a significant advantage.
For the Software Engineer role, we value candidates who are eager to learn and develop their expertise over time. While a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns is beneficial, we prioritize the ability to grasp and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Modern UI development experience and familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies are important, but we also provide opportunities for growth in these areas. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment are key qualities we seek. Effective communication in English and an interest in maritime technology, ship bridge systems, or industrial applications will help you thrive in this role. Exposure to Azure, microservices, and REST APIs will be advantageous as you develop your skills further.
