Senior Operations Financial Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Senior Operations Finance Analyst, reporting to Finance Manager, Americas. In this opportunity, you will play a key role in supporting the overall Operation of the Region, with a specific focus on the US / Canada operations.  You will help identify opportunities for improvement by designing, creating, and distributing monthly/quarterly reports, providing variance analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth, and helping review and improve internal processes.  You will also play a key role in the Budgeting/Forecasting processes and providing support for the monthly Business Reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to generate comprehensive monthly/quarterly financial reports and KPI dashboards for the Operations departments and senior managemen
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the operations department
  • Perform detailed variance analysis for both month over month and actuals vs budget variances and provide valuable insights, highlighting trends and helping to identify key drivers, as well as providing potential corrective actions
  • Evaluate existing finance processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams providing analytical support
  • Work closely with Accounting Controller ensuring accuracy of reported numbers
  • Any additional ad-hoc analysis the business will require

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years experience in FP&A, Financial Analyst or similar Operations facing finance role
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial software/tools, specifically Power BI, Datawarehouse, & AX 2012 ERP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific operational finance practices and trends is a plus
