An exciting opportunity has arisen as Senior Manager PR and Communications, reporting to Vice President Marketing and Communications. In this role, you will be part of the Global Sales and Marketing Team responsible for presenting the company’s total scope of products and solutions towards customers and market. You will be responsible for PR and Communications activities supporting all operations in Kongsberg Maritime.

We are seeking an experienced PR and Communications Manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and build a company image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.

Key accountabilities

• Develop a PR and external communications plan supporting company overall strategy and goals
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
• Coordinate all public relations activities, as well as collaboration with PR- and communications agencies
• Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
• Manage media inquiries, interview requests and press events
• Develop efficient routines for information sharing with internal management and key stakeholders

Qualifications and experience

• Proven working experience in public relations required
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both national and international level
• Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in relations with media
• Event planning experience
• Strong ability to build relations, work in team, and with a collaborative attitude
• Exceptional writing and editing skills. Fluent in English and Norwegian
• Knowledge of maritime industry is desired and seen as an advantage
• BA/MA degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline
