Senior Manager Communication & Public Affairs

We are looking to fill a new role, Senior Manager Communication & Public Affairs, within the Communication & Public Affairs in the central team of Kongsberg Maritime, reporting to VP Communication & Public Affairs. You will be a member of our small but effective communication team of five colleagues and working in a large network across the company. Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and a relationship builder, who can be a trusted partner and adviser to teams across multiple disciplines.
Key accountabilities
- Turn complex information into relevant and valuable content in text and presentations
- Help build our strong story as an enabler for a sustainable ocean economy
- Handle communication of our strategy and vision, applying a consistent voice across the company
- Support our leaders in becoming better communicators by
- build and handle a method of communication training for leaders internally
- being a trusted advisor in key projects related to organisational changes
- be a role model for KONGSBERGs core values

Qualifications and experience
- Excellent writing skills is a prerequisite, both in English and Norwegian
- Experience from working with both internal and external communication in a corporate setting
- Agency background working as communication advisor for clients can be equally relevant
- Experience in managing projects, creating communication strategies and action plans
- Experience in handling media is an advantage
- Knowledge of the maritime industry is also an advantage, but not a prerequisite
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in professional communications
