Senior Lecturer Positions in Finance

The Department of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School is seeking applicants for Senior Lecturer positions in finance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should relevant degree at minimum Master level, preferably with a Ph.D. in Finance or Economics with a Finance emphasize. The position requires pedagogical training and experience, however if no qualified candidates are found we will consider hiring to a temporary position with qualification requirements within a period of three years.

The successful candidate will show interest in research issues and is expected to have cutting-edge knowledge within the research field. While the opening is for teaching positions, we will allow for the development of a research agenda.

Employment begins in August 2022.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE: The department offers a BSc programme in Finance, a BBA specialization in Finance and three MSc programmes in Finance, Quantitative Finance, and Sustainable Finance. The department also offer a Phd programme and various executive programmes. The department has a strong emphasis on research and its faculty members regularly publish in leading journals. The topics span all major fields of Finance, including asset pricing, corporate finance, household finance, macro-finance, and market microstructure. The department is ranked 10th in Europe and 2nd among the Nordic countries, based on top-Finance publications from 2005 to 2016 and 2013 to 2017 (U of Texas Dallas rankings).
