An opportunity awaits you as a Senior Devops Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will play a critical role in our Remote and Autonomous Team developing and maintaining the development pipelines and the operations environment of our Remote Operations Centre product suite.

We are looking for an individual having previous experience from similar role and with a broad knowledge of system administration tasks.

Responsibilities

You will participate in work related to the development and improvement of our product’s operational and development time context. This versatile tasks spans across the domains of software and hardware development and among other things focuses on

• Managing software development pipelines in Azure Devops
• HCI environment management
• Windows and Linux system administration tasks
• Network management, both physical networks and devices and software defined networks alike
• Envisioning and improving the current product stack and work processes
• Supporting global customer support with technical know-how

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or in a similar field or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated experience in similar work role
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Previous knowledge about SW engineering development and release pipelines, especially using Azure Devops or other modern tools
• Knowledge of at least one of the HCI environment solutions: VMware, Proxmox or Hyper-V including computer, storage and network layers
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Previous experience in using system orchestration tools and scripts to automate processes
• Understanding of modern software development environment
• Deep Docker knowledge
• Experience from running a hybrid and/or multi-site setup
• Observability driven development
• Good written and spoken communication skills
