Working in the Back Office Revenue Accounting team:

You will be part of the multi-national Back-Office (BO) team in the business area Markets & IT, with colleagues based in Oslo, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, London, and Tirana. Back Office is the process engine for all commercial transactions and has responsibility for validation of the transactions, clearing and collaterals, contract settlements, billing, accruing, revenue accounting and EU regulatory reporting for all trading and origination transactions across Europe and the US. In a quick and changing environment we are building the bridge between our commercial departments and Finance units. The Revenue Accounting Operations unit is responsible for the financial operations of all physical and financial products as well as input to financial reporting.

The position is reporting to the Head of BO Revenue Accounting Operations Europe & US based in Oslo. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in the further development and harmonisation of BO Revenue Accounting processes and systems for Market Operations working closely with the Nordic and Continental teams and co-operating with key stakeholders in the Finance organisation.

As Senior Advisor in Revenue Accounting, you will:

  • Ensure robust processes within the revenue accounting operations
  • Drive improvements, harmonisation and standardisation of processes and systems across geographical locations and legal entities
  • Co-operate with many stakeholders aligning different departments in Finance
  • Implement improvements and new requirements related to Revenue Accounting Operations for Back Office
  • Contribute with hands-on participation in month-end closing processes, including inventory calculations, accruals, reconciliations and controls ensuring correct and timely reporting according to given deadlines
  • Follow up on KPIs, internal controls and audit reports
  • Provide knowledge and advice to Back Office colleagues regarding revenue accounting principles and developments
  • Maintain and create user documentation for routines, processes, and tools
  • Some travel to our different locations will be required

 

About you:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
  • Relevant work and experience (more than 5 years, international exposure)
  • Experience with operational excellence initiatives and driving process and systems’ improvements
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
  • Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel, SAP (S4 Hana) FI, SAP BW
  • Competence managing complex data structures and reconciliation tools
  • Precise, accurate and systematic working style
  • A good team player with excellent cooperation and communication skills and the ability to build relations across the organisation
  • Strong command of English and Norwegian, any other language is a plus
  • Thriving and contributing to a highly competent, enthusiastic, fast-paced, international working environment
