We are thrilled to present an exceptional career opportunity for the position as Senior Accountant within Global Customer Support in Kongsberg Maritime.

As an international commercial business partner, you collaborate across all products, functions, and geographies. The role requires stakeholder management and engagement at a senior level. Therefore, we are looking for a determined, collaborative, and proactive individual who will play a pivotal role in driving business growth.

The position will be reporting to the Finance Manager, Kongsberg Maritime Italy.

 

Job Description / Key accountabilities:

• Maintain the general accounting records of the Italian entity in accordance with local regulations and internal company standards
• Perform the day-to-day bookkeeping activities in the local ERP system, working autonomously and in coordination with the Finance Manager
• Process and verify employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with policies, and timely cash reimbursements
• Manage treasury activities (excluding payroll-related operations), including payments, cash postings, bank reconciliations, and monitoring cash positions
• Prepare and execute account reconciliations, including intercompany reconciliations, in line with the established monthly and quarterly deadlines
• Support the preparation and submission of mandatory tax filings, collaborating with external tax consultants as required
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information
• Contribute to process optimization, identifying areas for improvement in accounting and administrative workflows.

 

Qualifications and experience:

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting roles within structured environments; experience in multinational companies is considered an advantage
• Experience within a global organization is an advantage
• High experience within to Microsoft office tools, such as MS Excel
• Good understanding and efficient with tools such as ERP, HFM, Excel and Power BI (or similar)
• Ability to speak English
