A prerequisite to achieve our data ambition is to have a clear approach for managing the flow of data and how it is processed across our organisation, processes and systems – Data Architecture. We are looking for a new team member with relevant background and who is interested in joining SEB’s journey to become a truly data driven bank.

About the position
As the lead Data Architect you will be responsible for defining and maintaining a set of rules, standards and models that define the type of data collected and how it is used, stored, managed and integrated throughout SEB data- and application landscape. You will become part of the recently established Group Data Management Office, headed by our Chief Data Officer and have a “dotted line reporting” to our Chief Architect. 

Who are the new team members we are looking for?
To be successful in this position, we believe that you should have several years of hands-on experience working with Data Architecture in combination with a deep understanding and documented experience of how to make it work in practice. You should have strong networking and communication skills since your role is to work and interact in a wide data management and enterprise architecture ecosystem. You should understand business needs and requirements and be able to interpret these to design sustainable concepts and propose implementable solutions.

You should be focused on providing high class service, have a strong capability to prioritize work in a structured manner and have a high-level strategic perspective. It is important that you have the ability to pay attention to details in a fast-changing, dynamic environment and that you have the interest and ability to inspire, coach and empower people.

Experience from banking and regulatory environment will be a merit but not a requirement. An academic degree at university level is a must, as is fluency in spoken and written English.
