Sales Support Representative


An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Sales Support Representative reporting to Head of Spares and Sales Support, Aftermarket Sales. In this role, you will support our regional sales team in maintaining customer relations and identifying new opportunities with existing and new customers. You will also be responsible for promoting solutions and offerings covering the entire Kongsberg Maritime product portfolio. You will have a specific focus and responsibility for ensuring pro-active planning of major overhauls and dockings, maximizing Kongsberg opportunities which includes opportunities for spares, services, retrofits and refits. This position requires you to actively follow up on these opportunities in close cooperation with Sales Managers and Product Centers.

Key accountabilities

  • Support Aftermarket Sales Managers identifying customers and vessels scheduled for overhaul/maintenance
  • Through analysis of data, prioritize and propose customers where we believe we will gain most benefit
  • Pro-actively look for new opportunities both with existing and new customers
  • Prepare maintenance planning packs (binders) for upcoming overhauls, and ensure that entire KM portfolio is covered
  • Project manage and coordinate sales effort & activities towards internal and external stakeholders (binders)
  • Monitor and follow up on opportunities in close cooperation with Aftermarket Sales Manager
  • Ensure that opportunities are kept updated in our CRM system
  • Prepare for and carry out handover to delivery organization/aftermarket projects
  • Support sales in their preparation for customer meetings and attend as required
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and maximize utilization of supporting tools and systems (Dynamics365)

Qualifications and experience

  • Educated at a degree level from relevant subject (Relevant experience within the industry can replace this requirement)
  • Relevant experience from marine industry
  • Product knowledge (specific pending on product, requirement)
  • Ability to work independent, systematic and structured
  • Good communication skills
  • Solution oriented mindset
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft office, CRM and ERP BAAN Preferable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (+Country language if not English)
