Sales Support Engineer

As a Sales Support Engineer you will be playing a significant role in performing activities supporting the sales team in generating sales revenues and increase customer relationship which includes offers for spares, upgrades, field service and repair and overhaul support. This will be done based on data driven sales through extended focus on proactive Maintenance Planning. You will be the link between the sales team, customer and our internal organization. To support our Aftermarket Sales Managers with these activities are we looking for a sales support engineer who can join our aftermarket sales team with responsibility for customers in Norway and Iceland.

Responsibilities

  • Support Aftermarket Sales Managers identifying customers and vessels scheduled for overhaul/maintenance
  • Pro-actively look for new opportunities both with existing and new customers
  • Prepare maintenance planning packs (binders) for upcoming overhauls and ensure that entire KM portfolio is covered
  • Project manage and coordinate sales effort & activities towards internal and external stakeholders (binders)
  • Monitor and follow up opportunities in close cooperation with Aftermarket Sales Manager
  • Ensure that opportunities are kept updated in our CRM system
  • Prepare for and carry out handover to delivery organisation
  • Support sales in their preparation for customer meetings and attend as required
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and maximize utilization of supporting tools and systems (Dynamics365)

Qualifications and experience

  • Education at degree level within relevant subject
  • Experience in sales support and customer facing activities
  • Relevant experience from marine industry
  • Good communication skills, writing and verbal
  • Teamwork mentality
