Sales Director to DFDS Logistics

Do you want to be part of a solid dynamic company and contribute to the continuous journey of DFDS Logistics in Sweden? We are looking for a new Sales Director that will achieve growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the high-performance sales teams and lead them to generate hit revenue forecasts and meet customer needs.

DFDS has successfully undergone major changes in recent years. DFDS is the consolidator in the shipping and logistics industry in Europe and has a strong record of successfully acquiring businesses. The company has doubled in size over the last decade and continues to grow rapidly with the recent acquisition of UN RoRo (larger Mediterranean shipping company). DFDS is running at a rate with revenues of ~16 bDKK and EBITDA of ~3.6 bDKK.

Main responsibilities

As Sales Director at DFDS Logistics you will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands our customers base and ensure its strong presence. We expect you to make a positive contribution to the growth of the business by actively seeking and securing new business opportunities. This includes client visits and project work when required. You will manage sales targets by promoting DFDS services to existing and new customers. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that the highest possible standard of service is given to the customer.

You will be part of our strategic managing team and you will lead an ambitious sales team of 7 persons. The position is located in Gothenburg and you will report to Mathias Dahlström, Managing Director.

Preferred professional candidate profile

To succeed and thrive as a Sales Director at DFDS Logistics, you should have several years of experience of successful sales, preferably in logistics or transportation area. You are committed to understand customer viewpoint and customer service. You like to do long term business, are responsive to customer needs and are good at finding the best solution for all parties.

We are looking for an innovative person with a strong and natural ability to build relationships with colleagues, cross-functional partners, and management. As a leader you are communicative, ambitious and result oriented, with a high level of integrity.
