Kongsberg is seeking to hire a high-performing Senior Sales Manager in the USA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Kongsberg Maritime’s Sensors & Robotics sales team to help us meet our targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. The right person will also look for opportunities to cross-sell other products in our portfolio as part of meeting the customer demand. You will join an experienced team, and together be responsible for maximizing our sales potential.

In this position your main responsibilities are:

 

  • To create and maintain customer relations
  • Develop sales and customer strategies for our products and solutions
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Operational sales towards defined areas and customers
  • Preparation of quotations and manage contract negotiations
  • Coordinate customer activities with sales resources within KONGSBERG
  • Order intake budget, prognosis short and long term
  • Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Arranging to attend industry conferences and events

Qualifications

  • Education - bachelor's degree in relevant subject
  • Sales and marketing experience within the maritime industry
  • Experience in customer negotiation, sales and commercial processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Experience working with shipyards and system integrators, a plus
  • Experience with position and motion reference sensors and navigation systems, a plus
  • Communication skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese, a plus
  • Extensive travel activity must be expected
