Research and Development (R&D) Advisor

The Corporate R&D department is now strengthening the team and is looking for someone with solid R&D background paired with a business-oriented mindset.

About the role:

The Corporate R&D team manages and coordinates Statkraft’s R&D efforts. The team supports existing business as well as new initiatives across all technologies and markets where Statkraft participates. The scope is broad, from development of technology and methods for sustainable power production and energy management, to research contributing to knowledge-based regulatory framework and identifying new business opportunities.

As R&D advisor in the Corporate R&D department, you will:

  • Contribute to R&D strategy development and portfolio management
  • Ensure that Statkraft is up to date on R&D trends, activities, and actors
  • Enhance and support R&D efforts across Statkraft’s disciplines, business areas and locations
  • Work with highly skilled employees across the company, external research institutions and collaboration partners
  • Investigate relevant public funding schemes and advice business areas in this field
  • Communicate on R&D activities and results internally and externally to ensure implementation and value creation

 

About you:

We look for an R&D advisor with essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. The profile we are looking for should have:

  • Master of Science or similar
  • Experience in applied research, product development and or R&D management, preferably within the energy sector
  • Knowledge about R&D funding schemes in Norway and Europe is an advantage
  • Good at translating business needs into relevant and valuable R&D activity
  • Curious to learn new things and explore application of novel technologies
  • Team-player with very good communication skills, enjoying collaboration across units
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken. Fluent in Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages would be an advantage
