Kongsberg Maritime is now looking for R&D Engineers to join our Electronics Design team. The positions are in our central technology department designing underwater acoustic systems. Your coworkers are leading experts in acoustics, electronics, signal processing and embedded design, passionate about their work and ready to share their knowledge. 

We want your expertise to broaden our skilled Electronics Design team. To strengthen our R&D department, we seek innovative Engineers who want to work with cutting edge electronics in multibeam and synthetic aperture sonars, underwater communication and sustainable fishery sensors. 

Main tasks and responsibilities 

• Electronics R&D. Digital, analogue, and mixed signal designs 
• With a primary focus on digital interfaces for high sensitivity, low noise analogue front ends for acoustic sensors 

Qualifications and experience of interest 

• Bachelor/Masters degree in Electronics design, Cybernetics, Physics or equivalent 
• Good knowledge and experience with schematics and PCB layout 
• Broad knowledge of electronic design, such as uC/FPGAs, CPLDs, ADCs, power design, analogue electronics, sensors, etc 
• Understanding and experience with embedded software 
• Some understanding and experience with VHDL, Python, Spice, MatLab 
• Fluent in English and Norwegian, both verbal and in writing
