Seeing a promising market for paints and coatings in South East Asia, Jotun opened its factory in Thailand in 1968. Rapid economic development in the region led to new companies and factories in Singapore (1975), Malaysia (1984), Indonesia (1996), Vietnam (1997), Philippines (2017) and Myanmar (2017). Jotun is now represented in 9 countries in South East Asia & Pacific, including Cambodia and Australia.

In 2019, SEAP region has achieved close to 5.4 billion NOK in sales, EBITA 708 million NOK and employing more than 2,200 highly motivated employees. SEAP is an incredibly diversified region that is filled with both successes and exciting challenges in delivering growth and profit ambitions for Jotun.

We are pleased to announce that the position of R&D Chemist I is now open for application. The successful candidate will develop new and/or optimize products, test alternative raw materials by establishing and enhance technical competence in the region by fulfilling the R&D Plan, utilizing available resources to increase business competitiveness & profitability. 

This position is based in Shah Alam (Malaysia) and reports directly to Senior Chemist II/Category Manager.
