An exciting opportunity has arisen when the Propulsion and Engines division at Kongsberg Maritime in Kristinehamn are looking for a Project Quality Engineer. We are searching for a motivated person with a passion for quality, project management and with a proactive mindset to further strengthen our project delivery organisation. In this role you will be responsible for supporting our most complex delivery projects to meet our customers and our own expected quality objectives.

Key accountabilities
As Project Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the development, approval, and implementation of the project’s quality plan into the project organisation. In this role you will have the responsibility to plan and initiate necessary quality assurance, quality control and quality inspections that is needed in the delivery projects. This to assure project performance and project deliveries meet the expected quality objectives.

You will have the authority to initiate and perform internal project audits on the project’s compliance to processes, quality standards and requirements. You will also support the project with risk assessments and lessons learnt activities.

As a Project Quality Engineer, you will work in close relations to several other teams and departments, such as the Contract Managers, Engineering to Order, Supplier Quality, Assembly and Sales. When not working for a project you will support the wider organisation with internal audits, quality investigations and other quality related work. This in close relations with the Quality Manager.

Qualifications and experience
To best fulfil our needs and to make this a perfect fit, we believe that you have a technical background and interest. You should have project management experience, preferably from a multi-project environment. Knowledge about NATO standards for Quality Assurance and the ISO 9001 standard is meritorious but not crucial.

Focus for this role is to have the right personal skills to quality-assure our delivery projects. To be successful as a Project Quality Engineer we appreciate your ability to communicate in a clear and structured way. You will work in an international environment, therefor a high level of English is crucial. The ability to make an impact, to build relations and to act on own initiative is also fundamental to succeed in this role.
