Job Summary:

DNO is a Norwegian oil and gas operator focused on the Middle East region and the North Sea. Founded in 1971, DNO is Norway’s oldest oil company. With a leading position in terms of reserves and production in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, DNO produces around 110,000 barrels of oil per day from the flagship Tawke field.

Manage the start-up and continuous production and associated activities for the Baeshiqa PSC to ensure safe and effective results.  The position is based in Iraq predominantly on the Baeshiqa site. Early production will be managed with modified surface well testing rental packages to produce oil meeting the required specifications for trucking to FSK.  Associated gas will be flared. Production activities will be managed with drilling to ensure continuous production while not impacting the drilling schedule.

Presently two main sites exist which are located approximately 1 hour from Erbil.  Camps and support services are located on both sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effective communication and teamwork with departments; Drilling, Well Services, Supply Chain, HSE, Security, Project, and Production.
• Fast-track start-up of production from existing wells; project planning and implementation
• Managing the rental production packages and personnel
• Managing testing services
• Safe Delivery of production.  Maintains an overview of major hazards to ensure suitable controls are in place
• HSSE, training and targets.
• Ensure compliance with and improve against HSSE/Asset Integrity and Production standard
• Support for production forecasting
• Production reports
• Ensure timely submission of daily/monthly production report, monthly emissions report and weekly update for BU report.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 15 years or more testing and production operations experience in upstream oil and gas with at least 6 years’ experience in production management.
• Minimum HNC or BSC Eng university degree.

The role reports to Production Manager and Asset Manager and based in Erbil, Kurdistan. The role will be on an unlimited contract, and work schedule will be rotational 28 days on /28 days off.
