Kongsberg Digital is a provider of next generation software and digital solutions to customers within the Maritime, Oil & Energy and Utilities industries.

To support our commercial and growth strategy, we are now looking for a Project Controller that will join our Finance & Accounting department.

As project controller you will be a part of our project controlling team based in Horten or Asker. In this role you will be responsible for all financial aspects for a portfolio of projects, reporting to various project managers and business area responsible.

What you will do:

• Further develop and optimize the existing reports, systems and routines for project controlling, and overall contribution to best practices deployment
• End to end financial project controlling responsibility from tender phase to delivery
• Monitor and control actual cost and revenues against budget and current estimates
• Challenge and be sparring partner to project managers. Ensure early detection of unwanted cost development
• Invoicing and follow-up of accounts receivable as well as Project cashflow management
• Follow-up of foreign exchange contracts and initiate swap arrangements when required in collaboration with treasury team
• Monthly project and portfolio reporting
• Project risk, contingencies and opportunities analysis
• Promote commercial awareness in the project team and provide commercial input to the project management
• Participate in variation order requests and make an economical consequence analysis in case of essential changes and Contribute to budget and forecasting prognosis together with project managers

 

In order to succeed in this role, you have 3-4 years of relevant experience within cost and project controlling, with a bachelor´s or master´s degree in business administration, industrial economy or other related fields. Knowledge within MS Dynamics AX and Power BI is a plus.

As a person, you evaluate all related information critically, use statistics and make analysis to get the complete picture in any project, from identifying potential risks to monitoring financial impact. Furthermore, you are a team player who see the value in sharing knowledge, experience and information with colleagues, in addition to being supportive in the pursuit of team goals.

You are energetic with great drive, are flexible and service minded, and show ability and interest in learning.

Good communication skills, orally and written, in English is a prerequisite.
