This is an opportunity to manage an established team in DFDS – System Product Management, looking after our booking systems and developing new solutions for stakeholders. This job is suitable for a strong analytical and strategic thinker; who wishes to work with the Head of Product Development and colleagues across the passenger business in Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, Onboard Sales and the Passenger Tribe.

Main responsibilities

This job is broadly involved in our, Product Management, Marketing and Sales business on all our Passenger routes. Your most important areas of responsibility will therefore look as follows:

Product Management

• You will be responsible for developing and executing an effective and innovative product management strategy.
• Responsible for day-to-day Product Systems management and the delivery of an integrated and data driven plan, to address workload and weaknesses.
• Build business cases for future commercial and technical investments and represent the team as a Product Superuser and Business Driver.
• Consult with stakeholders and ensure the product portfolio is utilized and in front of every demander in the business, ensuring full usage and an efficient speed to market.
• Work with commercial teams to develop engaging product range and strong effective offer and added value strategies for digital distribution.
• Provide language and cultural support across passenger marketing team.

Team leading

• Manage a team of 3x Product System Specialists and a global approach to encompass all relevant regional nuances.

Systems representative

• Regular review of product setup procedures in Seabook and streamline processes for major system tasks / business processes.
• Develop a standardized way of working, providing great service levels and communication. Focus on data quality.
• Challenge existing roadblocks and strive to work smarter with major stakeholders to ensure we prioritize commercially viable updates by analyzing your teams output value.
• Help building a Management Information tools and dashboards with Insights and Strategy to assist the rest of the Product Development team. Need to understand KPI’s and translate these into dashboards / analytics.
• Act as a Business Driver for Product Development to ensure important updates and innovations are considered for development by the Tribe. Some Business Case experience would be desired.
• Conduct system project work with OBS, Sales, Marketing, etc to build automated ways of working and reporting.
• Support wider marketing and sales organization and provide local systems support where necessary for the functional heads.
• Manage and motivate across functions to execute Marketing System plans.

 

Preferred professional candidate profile

• Great data analysis & reporting skills – Tableau, SharePoint and Excel desirable.
• Business degree or professional qualification in similar field desirable
• Previous experience managing a team desirable
• Skilled Seabook User Desirable, but not essential
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of project management tools and processes

• Technically minded Product Manager
• Can interpret and adapt to many varying stakeholder needs and provide relevant solutions while prioritizing accordingly.
• Able to invoke a strong team spirit and enable trust
• Curious to solve problems and build new automated processes to release resource bottlenecks.
