Statkraft has established a high-performance data platform for energy management. On this platform we run several different models for hydrology, price and production forecasting and production optimization. It is crucial for us to maintain and develop industry-leading capabilities and expertise within energy management and power market modelling.

The Energy Management Digitalisation unit creates value for the Energy Management value chain by providing state-of-the-art digital solutions, with a professional interface towards IT. Product owners in this unit ensure the required quality, efficiency of development, and consistency across Energy Management systems.

For our office in Oslo, we are now looking to hire two experienced Product Owners that can drive continuous improvement of processes and tools in close collaboration with our analytical and operative units, internal IT and external vendors. One Product Owner to be responsible for our data platform and one product owner to be responsible for our energy market modelling systems.

 

Key responsibilities

As a Product Owner – Energy Management systems, these are some of your main responsibilities:

• Have the overall view and manage the totality of Statkraft’s energy management models
• Build a long-term roadmap with business owners and super users supporting their strategic ambitions
• Elicit, capture and analyse end-user business requirements
• Align and prioritize together with other product owners to ensure the optimal system landscape for Statkraft
• Lead the product team that maintains and improves the products including external vendors
• Manage risks with technology and vendors
• Take part in relevant R&D projects

Your profile

This is a perfect role for an analytical professional with experience in IT or an IT professional with experience in analysis and modelling. The profile we are looking for has:

• University/Master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, business or similar
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in energy markets
• Experience with energy market models, data science, and Python scripting competence is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive lean process design and improvements
• Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to effectively influence decisions, direction, and outcomes
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English
