Product Developer, Furniture

We are looking for a Senior Product Developer to join our team in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. As Senior Product Developer, you will own the development process from design brief to launch of new products. And will be an important team member for MENU in continuously deliver high quality and timely delivery of our furniture to our customers.
In this role, you will have a strong collaboration with the Design, Supply Chain and Marketing departments and worldwide network of suppliers where you will work on ensuring that all products are handed over and delivered completely to the warehouse, in timely manner according to the set timeline. it is therefore important that you can work autonomously, and at the same time have a strong team spirit and great skills in working across departments and with many different external partners.
The development process includes controlling and validation of all product documentation including drawings, specifications, product guidelines, assembly instructions, tests and certificates.
As Product Developer you own and drive the product throughout its lifecycle and will be handling the entire process from handover of design brief to successful implementation in Supply Chain and Warehouse. Your responsibility will primarily be within furniture.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Search and validation of qualified production facilities/suppliers – incl. sourcing and price negotiations
- Project management (from evaluation of initial design concept from designers from a product/production point of view considering Manufacturing methods, assembly, material, manufacturing costs and tooling investments to creating time-and action plans where deadlines are kept)
- Create documentation for manufacturing: 3D drawings in SolidWorks, quality specifications etc.
- External testing according to international requirements
- Documentation (e.g., supplier documentation, ISO assessments)
- Product creation in ERP system, assembly instructions, care instructions, quality manuals etc.
- Follow customer claims and make immediate corrective actions on repetitive quality issues.

And you are able to combine a very structured and detail orientated work style with a solution and process-oriented mind-set.
We also expect that you have the fundamentals right, e.g.,
- Relevant education within design engineering or equivalent
- Relevant professional experience within product development
- 3-5 years of relevant experience within a similar business
- Fluent in English, both written and verbally
- Fluent in Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
- IT skills: Solid Works, Office package
- Highly skilled project manager, that can lead the journey from design to attractive products
- Are a driven negotiator, who recognizes that both parties has to gain from the agreement
