To further strengthen our world leading community within Positioning & Maneuvering we are currently looking for two ambitious Senior Engineers to join our team. You will be reporting to Technical Product Manager, Advanced Maneuvering.

Our aim is to use our technology and expertise to develop even more climate-friendly solutions. Simultaneously we aim to bring to market and capitalize on new products and solutions developed on the road towards autonomy.

The Advanced Maneuvering product range currently includes Poscon Autopilot, Auto Crossing and Auto Docking which also can be integrated with Joystick and Station keeping. New products such as Anti-Collision systems are being added to the portfolio. The product advisor is our expert with regards to domain, technology, application, or functionality. The product advisors work in the interface between product management and R&D.

Key accountabilities

• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into product design and implementation
• Specify future features and functionality of the products
• Define, prioritize and follow up product development and maintenance projects and activities within the product line
• Provide technical sales assistance to our sales organization
• Provide technical support to delivery projects
• Assist in pilot deliveries
• Perform as an integral part of the Automation and Bridge Systems organization collaborating across the Kongsberg Maritime organisation

Qualifications and experience

• MSc or BSc within cybernetics or electrical engineering, relevant experience might compensate for formal education
• Have extended knowledge about the technical and market aspects of the product
• Minimum 4 years of experience from product development or delivery / service organization
• Know the main benefits and drawbacks of our products compared to primary competitors is beneficial
