Statkraft in the UK

In the UK the Company is developing, constructing, and operating renewable electricity generation assets.  Statkraft own and operate a 50MW hydro power station, have shares in a 23MW wind farm in Wales. Statkraft own shares in three windfarms in Scotland totalling 155 MWs. Statkraft have a development portfolio of several onshore wind farms.

Statkraft Energy Ltd is the Operations & Maintenance side of Statkraft within the UK, the 24/7 Control Centre team is based at the 50MW Cwm Rheidol Hydro Electric Scheme near Aberystwyth in Wales. It also operates & monitors UK wind farms.

In the Administration department, the Procurement Administrator role is a central function and will be responsible for performing procurement for both hydropower and onshore wind within the UK.  It is the direct link between the operational site requirements and the supply chain.

As a Procurement Administrator, you will be part of a motivated team working with complex challenges and large projects. The full-time role is for the time being based at Cwm Rheidol Power Station; however other Statkraft offices might be considered. Some travel is required.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:

Procurement Administrator

The role will report to the Administration Manager, based in Aberytswyth.

Your role:

• Procurement across all channels of purchasing
• Initiate business and organisation partnerships with suppliers
• Develop and review existing procurement strategy
• Liaise with the operational sites to understand their requirements and deliver a high standard of service.
• Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Proactively demonstrate initiative and offer innovative ideas for improvements

Your profile:

• Expertise in consulting within the supply chain management, demonstrating success in business optimisation
• Customer oriented, cooperative, and professional
• Analytical and conceptual skills. Has the ability to plan and organise your own workload effectively and work independently
• Self-motivated team player with the ability to make decisions, establish and implement processes
• Experience within a similar procurement role or relevant qualification would be advantageous
