As a Principal Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced hydroacoustic systems, ensuring alignment with both technical specifications and operational demands.

What you will be doing

• Translate requirements for the R&D team to implement
• Technical leadership of key projects as technical lead, overseeing system design and architecture
• The principal engineer has high theoretical competence within the domain, technology and application
• The principal engineer works towards new solutions that requires high knowledge and innovative thinking
• Perform analyses, develop algorithms, and contribute to technical papers

We think you should have

• Higher technical education (BSc, MSc, PhD)
• Strong knowledge and experience with acoustic sensors and systems will be beneficial and given considerable weight in candidate selection
• Naval background from surface vessels or submarines strengthens the candidate
• Expertise in sonar principles, including signal processing, sonar system and environmental modelling
• Background from multi-discipline project work and execution
