Job Summary

 

The role of PR manager at Statkraft is an exciting, varied position supporting the communications team with activities that help them to deliver ambitious comms plans. You will have excellent organisational skills and experience working in a fast-paced, creative PR agency or in-house communications team. Knowledge and understanding of the Energy & Renewables industry is key. 

Job Description

• Able to hit the ground running, have the confidence to ask questions and find answers from internal colleagues and external partners
• Juggle multiple projects and communicate progress
• Seek opportunities to support the UK Country Comms Strategy, representing the country Business Areas
• Understand our key audiences and present ideas of how to reach them, local media to events to social media

Experience must include

• Experience in marketing and communications
• Firm grasp of what makes up an essential core company PR component, strategy, narrative, tone of voice, boilerplate
• Local and national media and press relations.
• Own press relationships and lists 
• Coordinate press enquiries
• Own the media monitoring
• Content creation
• Coordinate and draft interview scripts and briefings
• Coordinate, draft and issue press releases
• Understanding of the political environment (there will be collaboration with the public affairs teams)
• Build a confident team of spokespeople; organise training and the rest
• Collaboration with third party PR agencies, national and project-specific
• Recognising where there are opportunities for social media, photography and further publicity
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
• Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships
• Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
• Must be a confident communicator and presenter
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
