Kongsberg Naval Services (KNS) is a new company within the Kongsberg Group ASA (KOG), dedicated to delivering high-quality maintenance and updates services to Norway’s frigate fleet, based on a long term Strategic Framework Agreement with Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA). The execution will be based on partnership with Norwegian.
The KNS head office in Bergen will be the coordinating entity for the execution of the scope, and will contribute to strengthening national competence and increasing the operational availability of the Norwegian frigate fleet.
About the role
As Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating detailed plans from the partners into an overall execution plan for the total scope. Furthermore, you will also be responsible with coordination with planners in NDMA and the Royal Norwegian Navy (RNoN), with the goal to establish a Masterplan for the frigates.
You will report status to Program Directors in KNS and NDMA.
You will work closely with project managers and planners in NDMA, RNoN and KNS, in order to ensure that work orders and packages are executed according to plans and delivery deadlines. Your role includes close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to address production-related challenges and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Execution and Reporting
Coordinate the development of detailed plans for maintenance and updates from KNS partners
Coordinate detailed plans from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for their assigned scope
Coordinate detailed plans from the Norwegian Defence Logistic Organization (NDLO) for their assigned scope
Develop and maintain an overall plan for the execution of the assigned scope from NDMA, coordinated with OEM and NDLO scope
Coordinate the development of a Masterplan and detail plans for the frigates with NDMA, NDLO and RNoN
Communication and Support
Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks
Qualifications
• Relevant education at the college/university level. Relevant experience can compensate for the lack of formal education.
• Relevant work experience. Experience in a similar role from the Navy or the maritime industry is an advantage.
• Deep knowledge and experience with MS Project, to build coordinated plans from detailed execution plans to fleet availability plans
• Good Norwegian and English skills, both oral and written.
It is not a requirement, but if you have experience and knowledge of the Nansen class frigates, it will be an advantage.
