We offer you

The role as operations manager has an overall responsibility for the operation in Kappahl's Distribution Center including maintenance of the logistics equipment. Today we are more than hundred employees in the DC organization and our processes are to a high extent automated. Together with four direct reporting production leaders and three maintenance technicians, you manage the daily operations. The warehouse business is optimized based on cost efficiency, quality and lead time to our stores and online customers.

The role includes strategic and operational responsibility for production planning, warehouse employees, cooperation and negotiation with union, ensure a good working environment in our distribution center and secure maintenance of the logistics equipment. You are also responsible for identifying requirements regarding maintenance of warehouse property and ensuring that routines for security and systematic fire protection are maintained. The position includes budget responsibility. You are part of the management team for the logistics function and report to the Logistics manager.

Your profile

The person we are looking for has previous experience of a similar position and has a coaching leadership. For the position, you have more than three years of work experience from similar tasks, preferably in the retail business. You are well familiar with labour law and have good knowledge of the collective agreement within the field. You are also used to manage systematic work environment work and have good language skills in both Swedish and English.

As a leader you are structured and interested of driving and developing people. You are open to changes, have the ability to motivate people and are good at communicating both internally and externally. Furthermore, you have a strong focus on results and are passionate about developing our distribution center to be a leader in the industry.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience of working as an operations manager in an automated warehouse and if you have been part of starting up new ways of working in warehouse environment and ramping up volumes with new automation equipment.
