The Operations Coordinator is a pivotal role within the DFDS Direct team, which supports the growth of DFDS Logistics’ digital business through DFDS Direct. It secures and develops the link between DFDS Direct’s digital business and the local offices, e.g. for product adoption and development as well as digital sales, customer service and fulfilment.

This job is a unique opportunity to help build a new digital business within Logistics, to create a strong network in the Logistics division and relation to the Executive Management Team.

As Operations Coordinator you will develop knowledge of the digital business, which is the future of the Transport and Logistics industry. At the same time, you will ensure an agile way of working in a start-up-like environment. In this process you will enhance your sales and customer service skills with a digital mindset alongside exercising leadership of local office resources.

The team is a diverse team represented by Marketing, Tech and Logistics that works closely with the Logistics VP of BU Nordics. It provides updates to the Venture Board every 6 weeks, which includes the CEO, CTO and EVP of Logistics. You will be collaborating with your manager and peers in an open communication form and in the acknowledgement that everybody brings their own personality, experience and skills to the table with a passion for building DFDS Direct.

Main responsibilities

The DFDS Direct Operations Coordinator will secure adoption of digital products e.g. by challenging the way we do Logistics today to make it cater to a more digital market while also acting as a liaison between the team and the local Logistics offices. She/he will have a strong focus on digital sales and customer services and help the team design a digital product around the physical Logistics operations. In additions to this, the Operations Lead will:

• Grow DFDS Direct business through digital inside sales 
• Run operations incl. customer service, planning and administrative tasks
• Maintain and monitor KPIs for adoption of digital products

Your profile

We imagine you have at least 1 year of experience in DFDS Logistics commercial operations – e.g. sales or customer service (incl. Velocity know-how) – as well as skills in the areas of consulting and change management. It is also preferred that you have data analysis experience which would be a highly valuable addition to your skillset.

We’re looking for an outgoing person with the ability to influence challenging stakeholders and build partnerships, and an out-of-the box thinker that delivers high quality output on time. Also, you should be willing to travel between different DFDS offices when required. The position can be located in any DFDS office.
