We are seeking an Operations Coordinator within our Cold Chain Logistics operation, to join our team in Larkhall. … so, this could be the position for you!!!

Working 5 days per week, Mon - Sun, on a variable 9-hour shift pattern, we’ll need you to process customers’ orders and the routing of delivery vehicles. Problem solving, combined with a keen eye for detail are an essential part of this role. Communicating directly with our customers, you will be tasked with maintaining strong relationships, ensuring their queries are answered and resolved in a timely and efficient manner. With deadlines to meet, it is essential that you can prioritise the workload, ensuring the correct information and documentation is passed on to the relevant departments, as well as, preparing transport plans for sub-contractors. This will include coordinating with our other DFDS depots and onward partners on all transport requirements. The role itself will be varied, with a combination of administrative and operational tasks which differ from day to day, to ensure deliveries are on time and costs have been managed efficiently.

A proficient level of IT skills covering Microsoft packages is essential, combined with the ability to develop understanding of internal & external systems. The capability to work on your own initiative, along with a driven approach to all tasks is required, as you will be using customer production systems to obtain order requirements. You will be expected to prepare & update reports along with statistical information which can be used internally.If you have proven reliability, with a flexible & adaptable way of working, then you could be well suited for this position.
