We are looking for an experienced network specialist to be a part of our networking team and help us further develop and run our modern IT Network. Most important areas of responsibility

• Work both independently and as part of our network team to support, maintain and drive implementation of our network on a global level
• Provide 2nd and 3rd tier network support
• Collaborate closely with Elkem's cybersecurity team and maintain a vigilant security focused mindset
• Contribute to network architecture planning, development and deployment
• Work in the network team to achieve strategic goals in connection with Elkem's global infrastructure
• Assist with the installation of network and IT equipment in industrial environments

 

Your background, qualifications and experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent within IT. Solid experience can replace formal education
• High level of proficiency in several of the following areas: TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, WiFi planning and surveys, VPNs and Firewalls
• Experience with Cisco, Aruba/HP, Juniper, Checkpoint, Zscaler and ClearPass is a plus
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, processes and ways of thinking
• Experience with security procedures and tools
• Knowledge of network packet analysis and troubleshooting
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in a Scandinavian language, French or Chinese will be an advantage
