KONGSBERG is taking on new endeavors within the space domain and is looking for System- and Product Engineers being a part of a team for taking the next step in space based surveillance and communication.

We are looking for both System- and Product Engineers with experience within multi-discipline systems engineering, remote sensing, satellite communications, product development, production and testing. Knowledge within space systems are highly wanted, but the positions gives also exciting opportunities for candidates with the right background to gain valuable experience within the field of space and surveillance in one of Norway’s largest space-divisions.

The Space and Surveillance division at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has more than 30 years of experience within the space business and delivers a broad spectrum of equipment, systems and services related to space and maritime surveillance customers in more than 40 countries.

Our portfolio includes equipment and components for the European heavy-lift launchers Ariane 5 & 6, NASA’s Mars rover Perseverance, equipment for communication, navigation, earth observation satellites as well as scientific space probes and space exploration.

KONGSBERG is the largest supplier of space equipment to ESA in the Nordic countries, and a reliable supplier of equipment to all major ESA science programs.

You enjoy sharing your knowledge, experience, and you eagerly support others in the pursuit of team goals.


What we are looking for:

• Systems Engineers with background and experience from large scale system design, experience from space systems is highly valued
• Electrical Engineers with background from product design and experience within one or more of the following areas: Remote sensing, RF and antenna technologies, electro-optics, image- and signal processing, spacecraft system design
• Mechanical Engineers with background from product design of dynamic systems and experience within one or more of the following areas: Environmental analysis, mechanisms, orbital mechanics and station (orbit) keeping

What you need:

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Systems Engineering, Electronics or Mechanics
• Proficient in technical English
