In Horten, Kongsberg Maritime (KM) Sensors & Robotics division develops and manufactures world leading underwater sensors systems and marine robotics for mapping and monitoring of the world oceans, providing vital information to applications including science, ocean management, hydrography, offshore energy, fishery and security. The division also provides robotics for continuous cleaning of vessel hulls and thereby hugely reducing power consumption and CO2 emission from maritime transport. In the position as Manager Supply Chain QA/QC you will be in a key position to ensure that KM S&R has the optimal system and organizational performance for controlling the quality of the superior products we make. You will have the opportunity to further develop your team and the organization into a quality culture as basis for continued recognition of our products in the global market.

The position is centrally organized in the management team for the KM S&R Supply Chain. As manager for the Supply Chain QA/QC team you will continue the development of a professional service to the KM S&R organization. You will be working closely with all professions from the R&D engineers to the operators both internally and with our suppliers. Within the Kongsberg Maritime you will also be coordinating the S&R Supply Chain Quality work with the other divisions and the Global Supply Chain organization.

Key accountabilities 

• Ensure expected product quality through the full value chain
• Develop and improve the Supply Chain QA/QC system within KM S&R  
• Educate and develop the KM S&R Supply Chain QA/QC team to a professional service that supports the improvement of the KM S&R product quality

Relevant qualifications and experience 

• Education from electro or mechanical engineering (BSc or MSc)
• Experience from developing and running Supply Chain QA/QC operations within advanced products industries
• Experience from running and developing a team within Supply Chain QA/QC

You are able to 

• Take lead in the KM S&R organization to continue the development of a knowledge based quality culture
• Combine theoretical and practical experience with innovations in modern digital tools to develop the Supply Chain QA/QC system
• Solve quality issues in a structured and efficient manner
• Be an inspiring, well communicating team player across the international organization
• Motivate and lead your team
