An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced person who wants to manage the new ILS & Fleet Support Organisation withing Kongsberg Maritime – Global Customer Support (GCS). Since this is a new organisation within Kongsberg Maritime, you will have a great influence in the creation of the team and its members. The team will cover multiple skills and variety of processes, therefore it is beneficial to have great knowledge within the marine sector.

In joining as Manager ILS & Fleet Support, your main responsibilities will be to coordinate, develop and streamline the ILS & Fleet Support Organisation. This department will study and interpret customer ILS requirements, to then prepare cost estimates and quotations to internal and external customers for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) analysis. This covers products from Kristinehamn but also from other sites within Kongsberg Maritime.

In this role, you are also responsible for leading the team in the daily operation with planning and coordinating various projects. The projects can vary in complexity and time and can be for both commercial and naval customers. The ILS & Fleet Support team will work in close co-operation with our spare parts team and our field service engineers.

Qualifications and experience

You have a broad knowledge and experience in project management, internal business processes and product maintenance. You have a bachelor’s degree within a related field or equivalent experience.

In this position it is important to have a structured mind-set and work methodology, with the capability to understand and drive continues improvements related to role on multiple products. Strong communication skills are required as the role is responsible for several teams across various activities or major projects. The ability to identity opportunities to apply new ideas and technologies are preferred. For us networking and clear communication are important, therefore your ability to build relationships, create a stable work atmosphere and coordinate the team is fundamental to succeed in this position. You also have a high level of both oral and written English.
