Maintenance, Reliability and Integrity Manager

Job Summary: 

DNO is a Norwegian oil and gas operator focused on the Middle East region and the North Sea. Founded in 1971, DNO is Norway’s oldest oil company. With a leading position in terms of reserves and production in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, DNO produces around 110,000 barrels of oil per day from the flagship Tawke field. 

Overall Duty:

  • Manages, supervises and coordinates the Tawke, Fishkhabour, and Peshkabir maintenance, integrity and reliability reviews, campaigns and strategies for continuous improvement in accordance with Company’s policies and objectives.
  • Responsible for delivery of maintenance and reliability activities and KPI’s in line with company standards.
  • Identifies and sets improvement goals in maintenance, reliability and inspection KPI’s.
  • Delivery of company integrity standards and optimised implementation of planned and corrective works scope to ensure integrity and uptime is maintained.
  • Delivery of reliability gap analysis, root cause failure analysis, and implementation of RCM strategies to ensure increased uptime and reduced OPEX.
  • Gap identification and remediation thereof within the current maintenance, reliability and integrity strategies.
  • Optimisation of current facility and future project maintenance, reliability, and integrity strategies.
  • Development of OPEX budget projections for maintenance, reliability, and integrity.
  • Ensure all statutory requirements and site SCE compliance achieved.
  • Technical direction of team through RAM studies review for new projects to ensure targeted availability will be achieved.
  • Manages the maintenance, reliability, and integrity teams to meet safety, process and budget requirements.

Health, Safety and Environment:

  • Ensures that the production, maintenance, and integrity activities are conducted in compliance with the applicable HSE procedures, and Company lifesaving rules.
  • Fully responsible for all decisions affecting the Health, Safety and Security of direct report personnel on site. Has authority to stop operations, construction, or any other activity that may jeopardise the safety or security of the personnel and installations.
  • Promotes accurate reporting and feedback, involves, and motivates all personnel on anomalies, near misses and incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To guarantee high health, safety, security, and environment standards of the personnel according to Company’s procedures, guidelines, and lifesaving rules.
  • To ensure and maintain high-level process safety / integrity across Company assets.
  • To promote a good image of the Company by maintaining high team spirit among site personnel and good relationship with local authorities and communities.
  • To deliver RBI and RCM programs (recorded and managed within CMMS) to increase plant availability and uptime.
  • To ensure that work is managed and coordinated efficiently with the resources available including vendors and specialist suppliers.

Requied Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideally Tertiary qualified with at least 20-25 years “hands on” and managerial experience in the oil and gas industry in maintenance, reliability, and integrity management / supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to use, optimise and develop CMMS and electronic integrity management systems.
  • Good ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.

Key Attributes:

  • Competent in the use of CBM techniques to reduce intrusive maintenance activities and reduce risk / costs.
  • Competent in the use of RCM, FMEA and ERS techniques to drive reliability.
  • Competent in the management of CMMS and electronic integrity management systems.
  • Strong background in reciprocating and rotating equipment maintenance , reliability optimisation.
  • Track record of PPM development and optimisation for both static and rotating equipment.
  • Track record of development, compliance and delivery of CMMS and electronic integrity management systems.
  • Competent in RBI techniques and optimisation.

The role reports to Production, Projects and Planning Manager based in Dubai. The duration will be continuous with a work schedule of 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday 8AM to 5PM.
