As part of our ambition to further develop as the competence centre for Cross-border Private Banking activities within the SEB Group, we are now looking for a Lending Advisor.
The ambition of Lending Advisory and Services unit is to be the centre of excellence in international cross border lending activities within Private Banking globally. We are the team of highly skilled and experiences professionals responsible for offering proactive advice both internally and towards clients and supporting Private Banking with the completion of international mortgage and other credit facilities. We also participate in various projects and take responsibility for ensuring the implementation of EU and local regulations into credit processes and continuous improvement of processes with the purpose of delivering a superior customer experience.
About the job
As a Lending Advisor you will provide specialist knowledge on credit matters by supporting the Private Banking coverage organisation with the maintenance of the existing credit book and cater for credit growth with a goal to enhance the overall customer experience. You will participate in customer meetings and take an active part in customer interaction regarding credit activities related to wealthy private individuals, investment companies and Family Offices. You perform a thorough analysis of the customer’s needs and propose solutions. You support Private Bankers in the implementation phase of credits by liaising with the Credit Department, external partners (valuation companies, lawyers, notaries) and the customer. And finally, you participate in various projects related to the lending area.
Who are you?
To succeed as a Lending Advisor in Private Banking Luxembourg, you have a high-level credit competence and experience of handling financing of private and/or more complex credit structures for corporate and/or investment companies. Due to your good analytical skills to evaluate and understand customer needs and structure the credit analysis accordingly, you are able to handle ad-hoc client situations involving customers with complex financial and credit structures. You adapt to new and unexpected situations effectively and use them as an opportunity for learning. You are very structured and well organized; you prioritize efficiently to meet key deadlines. You are also a natural team player, which allows you to collaborate efficiently cross departments.
To excel in this role you are willing to take all necessary trainings and certifications for the position. Also, you accept some travelling to meet clients and partners in our core lending markets (UK, France, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal). You have excellent oral and written language skills in English and any of Scandinavian languages. Other languages, especially French, are considered as an advantage.
