Job Summary:

The Junior Information Technology Technician is responsible for first level and on-site support, installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and IT Inventory.

 

Key responsibilities:

• First level helpdesk support and Troubleshooting of all PC and IT hardware problems.
• Hardware & Software installation
• Set up equipment for new users and desk setup
• Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed
• Look after and report IT supplies and equipment and report future requirements for them.
• Repairing and replacing damaged computers.
• Respond to Help Desk requests and assists users and provide after-hours support required
• Tidying up IT stock and inventory, arrange for moving and transport IT equipment in the field.
• Travel to other sites if required, including Peshkabir, Fishkhabour, Baeshiqa, and Erbil office if needed.
• Making sure that all computers are running the latest corporate system and have the minimum required business applications
• Maintain inventory for hardware.
• Liaison with the IT team for providing managed services to resolve more complex technical problems
• Performs related duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering

Minimum Experience:

• 1 year work experience preferably with Oil and Gas sector
• Good experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment
• Comfortably working and troubleshooting of current gen Microsoft products including but not limited to Windows, Office, SharePoint…etc.
• Knowledge of the hardware and software components of personal computers and current trends
• Skill in problem analysis and problem solving 

The work schedule will be 6 days on 1 day off, Saturday to Thursday.
