HR Officer

Job Summary:
The HR Officer provides practical, timely support, advice and direction to DNO staff on the full life cycle of HR activities. Activities and support include HR policy and procedures interpretation, legal regulations as well as provides support on employee relations as recruitment and selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting with Line managers to prepare job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process. (MNR Requirements)
- Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Communicate to HR support staff ensuring recruitment operational tasks are delivered on time
- Ensure that DNO recruitment and selection policy is regularly reviewed to meet all legal requirements along with the HR Admin Manager
- Onboarding and orientating new employees and training existing employees. (CoC any HR related policies)
- Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment. (Surveys, feedback, etc.)
- Overseeing the health and safety of all employees (FTW, Sick leave follow up if needed)
- Providing counselling on policies and procedures
- Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
- Ensure compliance with employment and data protection related legal requirements
- Develop and keep up to date policies relating to employment and other human resources issues
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like the aggregate number of hires by the department for office and fields.
- Respond to inquiries of employees with respect to benefits like the precedent, number of qualified vacation days, etc.
- Ability to travel to DNO locations
- Any other tasks assigned by the direct manager
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or in a relevant field
- 4-6 years’ experience in HR leading roles.
- Strong command in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and in a multicultural environment
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge in labor law
- Previous experience in recruitment is a plus
